Years of my life have passed since I first unscrewed the lid of my ink pen, carefully selecting the colour, greyfriars grey, allowing the first expressions of myself to submit to paper. It takes time to discover the hidden voice, to expound what must be said from a spring deep within.

I learn how to construct a sentence, to choose words that are appropriate, expressive and yet impressive. Planning, reading, adapting, scrapping, re-reading, over-thinking.

I write and rediscover myself, recruiting emotions long since buried. As I photograph I see new beauty hidden without the use of a lens. Pictured through this narrow vision I can better understand what my life means to me now.
